It popped up on my feed a little belatedly, but I’m still digging this year’s 31 Days of Magic. If you haven’t seen it, it’s pretty much this:
Even though it started in January, October (and the month after the black moon!) seems like a perfect time to do it. I’m amazingly terrible at following through with 31 days of anything, but I’d really like to give this a shot. I’ll have to play catch-up for days 1-3, I think, but #4 is right up my alley. I have a number of pieces of jewelry that I absolutely love and wear all of the time. I’ve charged them before, but today’s as good a day as any to give them a little boost!
The earrings were a Yule present from my S.O., from Talismana Designs. The green ring is a nephrite jade that he picked up from a place we passed by when we were road tripping. The silver raven ring is from Deborah Laun. For today, I think I’m going to work on that one.
I have a few definite purposes in mind for it. I’d like it to serve as a protective piece and as something to amplify my personal power. It’s already a minor way for me to maintain my connection to raven energy, and ravens are tiny badasses, so this should be fairly simple.
When I charge pieces, I usually like to do so in sunlight and a good soak in thunder water (if I have some around). I play whatever music seems appropriate for the situation, both to help with the process and to get my mind in the right shape for what I’m doing. Lastly, I hold the piece in my hand and use visualization to set my intention and complete the process.
Are you doing 31 days of magic? Did you try it earlier this year? How’d it go?
