Click here for the previous day.
My free day coincides with Samhain, which works out for me. I’m going to be busy doing and preparing other things, so fitting a bit of magick in isn’t really a priority. Instead, I’m going to let my celebrations count.
Since I’m going to be alone most of the day, I pretty much have free license to do as I’d like. I mentioned preparing food yesterday, so I’ve got meals and some extra for offering. I’ve also set up a small dish of peppermint and marshmallow root, and have gotten ready with a ritual bath and some protective measures– as much as I like Samhain, some spirits are dicks.
Other than food and prayer, I’m working on some guardian objects and inviting benevolent spirits to inhabit them if they so please. I’m also going to invite my grandmothers (and grandfathers, and great-grands, and great-great-grands, and…) to dine with me. Maybe watch a little Netflix.
I could put on that documentary about Richard III. That was pretty good.
Part of me worries about having enough to write about once this is over. I’ve gotten into the habit of updating every day (sometimes more than once!), and have a feeling that I’m going to feel the loss once I’ve completed this prompt. Since I started a bit late (day 4), I still have a couple of days from the beginning I missed that I’ve chosen to tack on to the end instead, but still. I might try something to strengthen my Tarot skills– do a daily reading, write a little about it, etc.
I do have some projects that I’m working on, but not quite to the point where I’d feel right writing about them yet. Those are still a little ways off, though! Other than that, would people still want to read about the minutia of my life? I mean, it’s pretty much wake up, ground and connect, do some energy manipulation practice, brush my teeth, make food, enchant food, pick up some writing assignments, write, make more food, write more, go moon-gazing, etc. Sometimes I’d like to write about work, but I do a lot of ghost writing. I’m not even really allowed to point to most of the things I’ve done!
Do you have a journal or witchcraft blog? Are there any writing prompts you’ve enjoyed doing in the past?
