Last week, I figured meditating with the right rocks might be the next way to do. While I ended up relaxed, it did not leave me feeling particularly goddessy.
Maybe I need something more physical. I haven’t been able to be as active as I’d like lately, so maybe getting a little “out of my element” will be exactly what I need.
Maybe I need to wait until my S.O. goes to work so I can bounce around like a macaque on a sugar high.
I am not new to dance (hello, ten years of fancy shawl dancing, three of tap, and a couple-odd of ballet and modern dance) and sacred dancing is not knew to basically anyone:
So I’m going to find the right music, and see where it takes me! I will, however, do you the courtesy of not showing me shaking a tailfeather in my bedroom. It’s been a long time since I’ve danced (the last time was around a burning wooden man in the Allegheny mountains).
Anyhow, here’s a short playlist I’ve compiled of what seem to be suitably danceable tracks:
So, did it work?
I do feel pretty pumped. Winded, mostly, but pumped. Much like meditating with an Isis face crystal last week, I didn’t quite get the same feeling I associate with goddess energy in other contexts– I feel good, but also not the same way I feel from a ritual dance, or even bouncing around a bonfire at Wickerman. This may require more research.
Do you use sacred dance in your practice?
